Today was the first bad weather in a while, with heavy rain in the second half...
Well, there are days like this. It's dark underwater too. But don't worry. There are some spots in Miyakojima that you can enjoy even when it's dark. Seriously.
The big spot is perfect for a day like this!
The terrain points where light can be enjoyed have weaker light entering, which greatly affects their attractiveness, so we focus on points that can be enjoyed regardless of the strength of the light.
Of course, the terrain is important, but on dark days that alone isn't enough to make an impact, so I focus on big fish points.
Miyakojima doesn't have much of an image of "big fish," but there are actually some incredibly attractive big fish spots. There aren't many, and you won't find big fish at every spot every time, but there are a few.
Today I'd like to secretly introduce just one of the big spots.
[Book Drop] The world's largest jackfish! A place with a very high chance of encountering the giant trevally

Super big impact!!!
Its size is so impressive that first-time visitors will do a double take!!! Its face, in particular, is about one size larger than a basketball. Its shape is also unique, and its silhouette is unforgettable once you see it. And what's more, its body is dazzling.
The English name for the giant trevally is Giant Trevally. It's abbreviated as GT! Remember that. GT!!
Many divers call it GT, so be sure to remember that.

This drop is a super spot where you have an extremely high chance of seeing some impressive GTs. It's an impressive spot with a vertical cliff of about 35m (equivalent to an 11-story building) that stretches from 40m to 5m deep. It's a sight that rock climbers will be thrilled to see.
Just swimming along this drop-off will make you feel like you're flying. Thrilling!!
There are several cracks here which act as cleaning stations for the trevally, allowing small wrasses to enter through the trevally's mouths and gills to eat debris and parasites.
The trevally become less wary while being cleaned, making it a great spot to watch and photograph them.
A huge pairing party held from early spring to summer
The great thing about this book drop is that you can consistently encounter giant trevally all year round. The probability is about 95%! However, the number of individuals you can encounter will vary depending on the season and the situation. That's right. The season is now!!!
Late spring through summer is the best time. What's so great about it? There are so many to see, and now is the best time to get close to them. How close are they?

They almost collide!!!
Their explosive power and speed are so great that they never collide, but now you can get so close that you'll think you might actually collide!!!
The reason it's in season in the first place is that, as the headline says, it's a big mating party, with male and female giant trevally mingling together in the drop in the hopes of mating.
In other words, a lot of giant trevally will gather at the venue of the big pairing party!!

Today, five of them circled in a line like a train! Sometimes avoiding the divers, they circled again and again, like they were playing tag, giving us a great chance to get up close and personal!
My hypothesis is that when you are seduced by someone you like, you get so turned on that you lose sight of what's going on around you,
Usually, they only think of divers as a bit of a nuisance, and see them as guys who come close but don't attack, so now, at this crucial moment, they don't have time to bother with them!!! (I'm horny!)
With this mindset, I think he is prioritizing his sexual desires over his concern for the divers.
Well, regardless of whether my wicked hypothesis is correct or not, it is a fact that the GT's wariness level is close to zero, so as a diver, you should make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
We want as many people as possible to experience for themselves that Miyakojima is home to some amazing big fish!
This shock can be felt by you too.
