THIS WEEK
The first typhoon of the season finally arrived. It hit Miyakojima directly and then stalled, causing long-lasting effects, resulting in only one trip out in a week.
This week on YouTube I'm explaining about coral bleaching, and the typhoon came just in time, causing the water temperature to drop suddenly from 30°C to the 27°C range, so it seems like there's a chance the corals can recover.
However, the water temperature became a little cold for divers wearing 3mm suits.
If you check the weather information, you'll see that there are many typhoon eggs, so if you're planning on visiting the island, be sure to check it frequently. I recommend using the app explained in the video, as it allows you to see forecasts well into the future!
