This week's summary
This week, the beach was closed for two days due to a front that brought strong winds and high waves. A front is a weather phenomenon that generates tremendous power at the boundary between warm air and cold air. South of the front, the warm air brings gentle winds, but north of the front, the cold air brings strong winds.
The wind speed reaches 15 meters per second, so diving trips are often canceled. This is a phenomenon that occurs regularly in Okinawa during the winter, so if you are planning to visit the island, be sure to check it out.
The water temperature is currently 27°C, which is warmer than usual. However, once the front passes, the temperature will drop to 20°C, so it is essential to take measures to protect yourself from the cold on board.
Wrap up warm and go diving to the best terrain!
