This is not just someone else's problem. During the BIGHOLIDAY when the beach is closed, Yuka and Akari have been battling with Yayoi (accounting software) for the past few days! They've been fighting from morning till night for the past three days!
Tomo-chan and I have been busy from morning till night cleaning up our inventory and preparing for tasks that will be done during the closure. There is plenty to do even without guests. Working at a diving shop means no time to waste!! I also need to keep writing my blog properly!
The 2015 overseas tour is just around the corner
Preparations for the Palau tour in February 2015.2 are progressing steadily. We need four more applicants to reach full capacity, so we thought we'd make a final push and promote the tour!
Meet enough sharks to last a lifetime
The previous promotion was titled "A Trip to Swim with Sharks."
I introduced the theme of going to see enough sharks to last a lifetime. Sharks are special creatures, at the top of the food chain. Some people fear them, others admire them, and they are kings that inspire all sorts of emotions, but the triangle in the food chain is especially big in Palau! The sheer number of fish there is also out of the ordinary compared to Japan!
Go beyond the Gurukun Wall and meet manta rays
People tend to focus on the big fish, but even the common Gurkun fish are in such high densities!!! When this school of fish appears overhead, it's no exaggeration to say that the whole area becomes pitch black. Even such an ordinary fish can be quite shocking. It's amazing.
At times like this, the manta rays would come charging in with a whoosh, and I'll never forget the majesty of the Gurukun Wall opening up to the left and right like a door.
The king of barracudas, each measuring 1m!
These are big fish, a school of barracudas! Each one is huge, about 1 meter long!!
You can occasionally see them at Yaebiji and the east coast, and they are about the same size, but the size of the schools is overwhelmingly different. This is a special fish, but if you dive three times a day, you have a high chance of encountering it. Palau has a huge number of fish, from small to large. When it comes to that, you can see sharks and Napoleons! Or manta rays and GTs!
It was inevitable that an unusual collaboration would come to fruition. Above, below, left and right, there was just fish, fish, fish!
This is normal at drop-offs, so it makes me realize how big the world really is. Palau's ocean is different from Miyakojima's in a way. Let's all dive into the world's best ocean!
