The story leading up to BRIENDS' departure
BRIENDS2 was launched in July 2018 and is our first new diving boat.
All of our staff worked together to design the space from scratch, in order to turn the idea that had been harbored in our hearts - "If we did this here, it would be more comfortable. It would be more enjoyable." - into a reality.
We have written a blog post that tells the story from design to implementation, so please take a look. We are sure you will be excited!

About your equipment
Customer equipment - pick up in advance
When you use delivery service to deliver your equipments to our shop, we’ll keep your equipments at the shop until the day you join us. And you it will be waiting for you on the boat on the day of your trip. We recommend that you send your equipment with a little extra time. You will often be asked to fill out the contents of your shipment, so it will go more smoothly if you fill it out in advance.

Your equipment – after the dive
If you plan to continue diving the next day, your equipment will be stored on the diving boat.
We’ll ask you to pick XNUMX or XNUMX after the final day of your diving.
XNUMX. Take it home yourself
One thing that BIGHOLIDAY cannot do is provide a gear washing area for divers. Therefore, you cannot bring it to the shop, wash your equipment, drain the water at the shop. This is because we pick you up to the port and see you off at the port, so there is no opportunity that you go to the shop.
However, many accommodations on Miyakojima have gear washing and drying areas available, so if you are taking your equipment home with you, please use those areas, or consider using delivery service.
XNUMX. Use delivery service (cash on delivery)
After you enjoyed all your diving, we will pack and take your equipments to the shop. Then we wash, dry, pack, and send it to you by cash on delivery. We thoroughly dry all your equipment, including boots, suits, and BCD, before delivering so you can store it as is after it arrives.

Free underwater camera rental
We offer free underwater camera rentals to customers who make a reservation. The camera is the OLIMPUS-TG5, a full-fledged diving digital camera that is waterproof to a depth of 40m and comes with a robust housing that is water-resistant to a depth of XNUMXm. We have prepared a model that is resistant to submersion, so it is safe for beginner users.

Cold protection measures
Boat coats and hooded vests available
At BIGHOLIDAY, we will provide boat coats for all participants from November to April, just before Golden Week. We will also lend out hooded vests for free if you requested. Outside of this period, we will provide them upon request, so please tell us in advance.
