Antonio Gaudi
Maximum water depth -35MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionA natural work of art named after the unfinished artist who created many World Heritage Sites
This spot was named after Antonio Gaudi, the architect of World Heritage sites such as the Sagrada Familia. The complex overlapping arches make it seem like an unfinished work of art, making it difficult to grasp the entire structure in just one dive. It's a highly popular spot, and we receive many requests. Because the spot is difficult, neutral buoyancy is essential, and a fairly good air supply is required. To capture the entire structure in a photo, a wide-angle lens won't suffice; a fisheye lens is essential. However, the highlight is the deepest point, 35m, so your stay will be short. Ask your guide for photography tips and get a feel for the area beforehand. One thing to note is that this is a deep dive, so you'll need to check your remaining air pressure and manage your no-decompression dive time. Since you'll be swimming in the mid-level waters on the way there and back, make sure to match your depth with your guide.

35 hole
Maximum water depth -35MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionMiyakojima's largest cave
This super-huge cave, 20m width, 20m height, and 50m depth, offers a dynamic experience that is typical of Miyakojima. It's deep, but the course is simple, so even beginners can enjoy it. It gets pitch black near the middle of the cave, and if you go in with a light in hand, you can see a bright red fish (Akamatsukasa) floating in space. The exit is hole-shaped, and light pours in from the opening directly above, making it very photogenic. The opening is a high-quality heart shape. It's a great spot for taking photos.

Landing Arch
Maximum water depth -35MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionA gigantic arch reigns over the depths
It's a wild spot with a thriving fish population, and its geological highlights include a huge hole with many openings and a gigantic arch that gives it its name, dominating the depths. The huge jungle of soft corals that spreads out in the deep waters proves that this is an untouched spot. The current can be strong at times, making it a highly challenging spot that's not suitable for everyday use. I occasionally go there during the off-season when there aren't many customers.

333
Maximum water depth -35MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionThe excitement of not knowing what will come out
The atmosphere here is completely different from other spots. The tide flows extremely fast, so large fish often pass by, and together with the dynamic geography you can enjoy the excitement of not knowing what you'll find. In summer, cardinalfish gather in large schools in the hole. Turtles are also often seen, but the giant turtles here are sensitive and will quickly escape. This is the only spot in the Shimoji Island area where red-spotted anthias flock under the boat, so you can enjoy the whole experience until you have to stop safely.

Queen's Room
Maximum water depth -35MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionThe deep sea royal palace where the queen resides
As you can see from the photo, this is a very high quality spot, and is just as popular as the miykojima’s Big 30. There are multiple individuals of the starry wall shrimp, which are the model for the queen, and they have been there since the spot was first discovered (more than 30 years ago), with successive generations taking turns. The shallowest part of the inside is XNUMXm deep, and the maximum depth is XNUMXm. There is so much to see that you'll want to stay for a long time, but due to the NDL regulations, things move quickly and your stay will be short. It is a royal palace of the deep sea, where silence prevails.

Ichinose Hall
Maximum water depth -30MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionThe owner Totty’s Top recommendation★★★
The quality is on the same level as Miyakojima's BIG 3 points or even higher, and light shines into each room, large and small. Although it is a minor point, the reactions of guests are outstanding, and if there is any chance of it competing with Miyakojima's BIG 3, this point would definitely be it. In fact, the reactions of guests are far better than those of Miyakojima's BIG 3. In any case, this place alone has a sacred atmosphere. When the sea conditions are bad, boats cannot dock, so the timing is limited.

Ichinose Drop
Maximum water depth -30MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionThe different expressions of the water as the tide rises and falls
This drop-off point is filled with a large number of fish. The scenery changes completely depending on whether the tide is high or low. If you time the tide right, you can see spotted eagle rays and dogtooth tuna. In addition, rare species such as the fringed anthias and the Japanese giant prawn live in the deep cracks, so this is a spot that is rich enough for those looking to catch macro fish.

Nakanoshima Hall
Maximum water depth -27MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionBig impact! A giant blue hourglass
The most important thing is to equalize your ears as you descend vertically from a 5m deep entrance to 28m. The guide will explain how to do this, so even beginners can go if they practice. After descending a few meters, you will suddenly see a huge blue hourglass appear, which is very impactful. You can easily see its size by taking a photo with a diver inside. It is often referred to as a larger version of the "Manza Dream Hole" on Okinawa's main island.

Devil’s palace
Maximum water depth -25MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionA palace-like cave consisting of three rooms
It is by far the No. 8 spot in terms of popularity, ability, and fame. It consists of three rooms: an entrance hall, a main hall, and a bedroom, all connected by a corridor. And although the time of year may vary, light shines in every room, making it seem as if it was not created naturally. The level of perfection of the design is so outstanding that it feels like a carefully planned attraction. The light shines in most beautifully in August and September. It is more enjoyable if you bring an underwater light. You can also rely on the guide's light when diving. The average depth is deep, so be careful of residual pressure. It is not that difficult, so if you take the proper precautions, it is a good spot that even beginners can enjoy.

Toori Pond
Maximum water depth -25MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionThe only point in Japan designated as a natural monument
This is the only diving spot in Japan that has been designated a national natural monument and a scenic spot. The water layers have different colors and temperatures, top, bottom, left, and right. You can also surface in the pond. If you are not neutrally buoyant, you will consume a lot of air, so be sure to keep in regular contact with your guide to avoid running out on the way back. The terrain is also unique. You never reach the bottom 45 meters, but instead swim in the middle layer, so the high level of difficulty is due to the fact that you never get a chance to touch the ground with your feet. If you pull your fisheye lens as far as you can to the wall and take a photo, the two colors, blue and green, will fit into the frame. Ask your guide for tips. Kumejima otohime shrimp live in the horizontal cracks on the ceiling.

Panata
Maximum water depth -25MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionAn advanced point reminiscent of Palau's Blue Corner
This point is close to 333 and also has a strong current. If you go in with the tide, hundreds of bigeye trevally gather at the tip of the cape, sometimes creating tornadoes. Dogtooth tuna, Napoleon trevally, and giant trevally are also regulars, and there are an exceptionally large number of other fish, making this an advanced point reminiscent of Palau's Blue Corner. At points with strong currents, the guide will give you more important points to note in the briefing, so be sure to come prepared. In the deeper waters, you can also find long-tailed hawkfish and fringed anthias. Miyakojima is not just about its topography; it is a deep and rich place.

In short, it's like a miniature version of Antonio Gaudi. There are holes scattered all over the edge of a large reef, and inside there are good-sized sea cucumbers growing from the walls, so it looks great when photographed with the holes. I often use it as the first check dive.

Nakanoshima Channel
Maximum water depth -20MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionA series of crayons. A maze-like point
It's a maze-like point with a continuous series of crevices, and when the dive time approaches 40 minutes, you'll find yourself back under the boat. On clear days, a curtain of light appears. It's an excellent point for beginners, and popular with photo divers. It's also suitable not only for its topography, but also for leisurely macro photography. Once you've taken a path, you'll never go back, so it's a good idea to dive while looking back. It's a point in the bay where the waves are blocked out, so it's always a quiet point.

Twin Cave
Maximum water depth -20MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionWhen illuminated with light, the scenery changes dramatically
As the name suggests, this diving spot is made up of two caves. It is classified as beginner level among the diving spots on Miyakojima, but the caves are fully-fledged and each one is characterized by its light-filled cave and pitch black cave. There are many hatanpo and red pine cones hiding inside the two caves, and when you shine a light on them, the scenery changes dramatically.

Hon Drop
Maximum water depth -15MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionThe highlight is the giant trevally
The highlight of this spot is the giant trevally, the largest of which can exceed one meter in size. There are two or three on average. In early summer, they gather here to mate and spawn. Sometimes groups of more than ten can gather. The trick to observing and photographing giant trevally is to quietly stop and wait in their path so as not to startle them. The giant trevally here come to be cleaned by the cleaner wrasse, so they circle around in the same place or hover in place. You can get very close by gradually closing the distance. There's a high chance of encountering turtles, and in winter, this is a feeding ground for manta rays, so there's always an extremely high chance of seeing a large one. Pygmy seahorses arrive at the isobana every year in the deep waters, and nudibranchs can be seen in abundance in the cracks and walls of the shallow waters.

Naruhodo the cave
Maximum water depth -14MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionStrange geographical point
Enter the cave from the entrance and continue through the narrow tunnel until you reach the entrance where you first entered, a mysterious geographical point. Depending on the season and time of day, you can see laser beams and curtains of light. Inside the cave, there are narrow and open areas, dark and bright places. The variety allows you to take lots of photos of the cave's scenery. There are also several short caves nearby, and depending on how you combine them, you can stay inside the cave forever.

Mini Toori Pond
Maximum water depth -13MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionA photogenic spot where sunlight pours down
This spot is next to Toori Pond and also surfaces in the pond. In early autumn, sunlight pours in from the opening in the ceiling at the first point, and it's also easy to take photos of the water surface, making it a very useful photo spot. Even before reaching the photo spot, you have to go through a long cave with many pillars, making it a very complete spot. There are several spots on Miyakojima where you can surface in the pond, but the water here is by far the clearest and most beautiful of them all.

If you go to the third section on a clear day, you can see a strong laser beam all year round. The angle is important to see the laser, but this is definitely the spot. The cave is also long and complex, with two large rooms and ponds, and you can even surface in the pond at the back, while a curtain of light pours down on you at the first section. The water is shallow, making it easy for beginners. If you love photography, this is a must-do.

Rock Beauty
Maximum water depth -10MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionA tropical atmosphere typical of Okinawa
This bright spot features two giant roots towering over the sand and vibrant coral growing there. Garden eels live in the sand, creating a tropical atmosphere typical of Okinawa, and there are also many schools of fish, so wide shots are great and macro shots are of course fun too. I occasionally choose this spot on BIGHOLIDAY when the terrain continues, but when the conditions are good, I tend to focus on the terrain, so I don't visit often.

Maximum water depth -10MdifficultyProbability of being able to tryCustomer SatisfactionA popular spot for women! A spot where you can see tens of thousands of cardinalfish
Tens of thousands of scaup swarm around the main rocks on this sandy beach all year round. There are always several other spots where they congregate around the rocks near the main beach. Naturally, it's popular with wide-angle photo divers, and is generally popular with women. Along with Rock Beauty, it's a good spot to dive when the terrain is continuous. The sand is fine-grained and there's little foreign matter, so it's beautiful. I don't actively select this spot either, but it's a very high-quality sandy spot.
